I leave for Italy in 7 days. Holy crap! I can not believe how fast time has FLOWN by. I never imagined I would be this close to taking off! I spent all yesterday afternoon packing for my semester abroad. It's hard to figure out exactly what I will need when I'm there, but this will definitely be a much needed learning experience about packing minimally. So hopefully one of the things I learn while I'm there is to only pack the essentials, but wouldn't you rather be over-packed than under-packed? Two rolly-suitcases, a duffel bag, & my purse for the flight. I think I'll be set for sure.
I leave Friday morning to fly to Hartford, CT to stay with my boyfriend for the weekend, before I fly to Rome from JFK on Tuesday afternoon. I have not flown internationally in about 4 years. Although I have traveled to many countries, I have never been to Italy before. I am about to live there for over 3 months! This is an experience of a LIFETIME, & I am more than thrilled about this blog & keeping my family and friends in the loop of my adventures!
